Gen Z And Education.

On our previous class we had a discussion on "What would you introduce in the field of education for the Gen Z". And here are my views on it. I always think there is a need for people to know how to properly use AI. AI in my opinion should be used as a guide and not as a creator. People should be taught on how to use technology as an alternative option but not as a substitute for human creation. AI can be used in the field of science but definitely not in the field of art. If only humans are taught to do this I think we will all obviously be able to think critically and creatively for that comes more naturally for us than for machines.

I also think education should not always be subject oriented thus I would also like to introduce the importance of communication for the Gen Z and the need to interact with fellow beings. With the dangerously insane addiction and usage of social media this generation tends to detach from reality and so it becomes important for them to acknowledge other beings. This often happens because social media is generally a large platform where people from all over the world can interact with each other without any consequences and so most people lose their ability to be accountable or responsible for their doings. With the easy completion of any task just by a mere click, had made life easier and thus having an one minute talk with a local street vendor for our own needs sometimes hurts us. So they should be taught on basic communication and interaction with the world of reality.

Apart from all these it's also important to protect and foster the mental health of the Gen Z from the suffocating enclosure of social media and detachment from reality. I think they are greatly blinded and influenced by media and technology, hence do not wholly own the blame. They just have to be taught on how to use it cautiously and deserves to be protected as well. Because education is not just a tool to learn mere subjects but an experience to life itself.
